Be
Found Faithful
Moreover, it
is [essentially] required of stewards that a man should be found faithful
[proving himself worthy of trust]. 1Cor 4:1 “AMP God is not as interested in whether we’re
successful, but whether we’re faithful. Mother Teresa made the statement “We
are not called to be successful; we are called to be faithful.” A slave becomes
a steward when he has responsibility given over a possession. What’s not tested
can’t be trusted so however we handle our possessions will reflect how faithful
we are. Trust is not given, it is proven and it is earned. Words do not prove
trust they promise trust. Actions are the final product in the assembly line
and the safety inspector doesn’t miss a thing. It’s nice to thank someone for
promising to do something, but it’s even better to thank them for actually
doing it. Every one of us is personally responsible to develop a culture of
living for the glory of God and unfortunately most people quit. Unfortunately
most people believe the lie that it’s easier to live for themselves rather than
working hard to make an eternal difference for others. Quitters don’t get much
credit in the Bible and I don’t think that’s changed. But these people have hearts that draw
back from God and wills that rebel against Him; they have revolted and quit His
service and have gone away [into idolatry]. Jeremiah 5:23 AMP We need to have a drive and a passion that will do
whatever it takes to overcome; soldiers who will lay down their “life” and even
their “lifestyle” to serve God and bring Him glory!
